Last Stand For Humanity

Last Stand For Humanity is a submission to the GameDev.TV 2024 Game Jam with the theme of "Last Stand!". This is my 4th submission to the GameDev.TV jam.

Story

In the distant future, humanity’s last hope, the colony ship "Exodus," races through the void, pursued by relentless alien forces, the Xor’kith. Earth lies in ruins, and the remnants of humanity cling to survival, desperately seeking a new homeworld. With each hyper portal they navigate, the Exodus inches closer to salvation but faces ever-growing threats.

As the Xor’kith close in, Captain Alex Mercer rallies the crew for a final stand. "We fight for our future," he declares. The fate of humanity hangs in the balance as the Exodus dives into the next portal. The journey is fraught with peril, but hope and determination drive them forward. The endless chase through the stars is on—survive, and find humanity's new beginning.

Game Details

Normal Phase: Fly through hyperspace avoiding asteroids. Collect Gems for points and upgrades for enemy encounters.

Attack Phase: During Attack phase you will face off with up to 4 enemies. Use your cursor to aim and fire at the red enemy ships to destroy them!
